Bonzo Kaku Senior High School was established in 1993 as Bonzu Kaku Senior Secondary School hence the acronym "BOKASS" . The school was formally opened on Friday, 22nd October, 1993 in a ceremony chaired by Nana Ackah Watson who provided the land for the establishment of the school with Dr John Abu the then Western Regional Minister as guest speaker and Nana Ehomah Kpanyinli VI, Chief of Awiebo, the town in which the school is located as guest of honour. The school is a mixed and co-educational institution started which with seven students.

To provide quality education to students who pass through the institution and eventually become productive, morally upright and dependable citizens of the society.
