The school is the first second cycle institution in Ashanti Religion and it was established in 1937 by the late J.T. Roberts, a Sierra Leone man, in September 1962, and was absorbed into the public system by the Ministry of Education.

To provide relevant Education to all Ghanaian at all levels irrespective of gender, ethnic, religious and political affiliation.

To equip and produce graduates with intellectual, moral and innate capabilities to be useful and responsible at any level of service.
